“Connection lies at the heart of the healing process”

Myra views therapy as a way to find connection, gain insight into oneself, and work on the things that can leave us feeling “stuck”. A safe, welcoming, judgment-free space to unpack your unique experiences with the collaborative support of a therapist who honors your journey and meets you where you are is the first step to growth and change. Myra is well-informed on various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, narrative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic approaches. Coupled with this knowledge, she strongly believes in empowering her clients to explore, engage in, and collaborate on how they would like to rewrite the next chapter in their story.

Myra’s work is grounded in social justice, multicultural awareness, and intersectionality. She specializes in working with first and second generation individuals, BIPOC, and people of varied religious, cultural, sexual, and gender identities. She is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.

Embodying a compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy, Myra is trained in providing trauma-informed care and utilizes mindfulness, grounding, and breath work to provide holistic, mind-body-spirit affirming support. She understands that everyone’s life needs to be seen through a different lens and works with clients at their own pace, providing support while you process your experiences, explore your needs, and learn to gently challenge yourself in a safe therapeutic space.

Myra works with clients going through challenging life transitions, relational difficulties (whether with friends, family, colleagues, or your partner), grief, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, identity exploration, and self esteem. Myra values understanding what brings you here and how your earlier life experiences can impact your life. She recognizes that growth and healing come from self-compassion and deep insight, which is why she takes a person-centered approach that holds space for you to be your authentic self.

The therapeutic journey can look different for everyone; Myra fosters a supportive and collaborative relationship to help you develop the coping strategies and self-awareness needed for your unique journey.
